Sunday Stillness - Family

Happy Sunday!

How was everyones week?  Did you get in some play time…connecting with our inner child?  Or make any summer plans to play?  Hit reply and let me know.

We sure did a great job continuing the theme!  We’ve been all about family.  My niece and nephew are in town from Washington State; so we are hanging out and making the rounds.

Wednesday as you may have seen from my Facebook live; I was stuck in traffic on my way to my Aunt Sharon’s.  I was hoping to do my Facebook live at her house; as being with family is the very essence of connecting with you inner child; but had to improvise and go live in my car (being spontaneous is one of my favorite things since becoming a reformed perfectionist).

And then there was Friday…Friday was the best!  As you may remember I lead meditation at the Chopra Center of Fridays and my niece Taelor decided to go with me.  That was the BEST feeling.  Not only was I beaming with excitement, but I was so proud that she wanted to be a part of that with me.

All this Practice Stillness stuff is new to my family.  They all agree this is my path; but keep their distance as they are not sure yet, if it is their path.

That is totally normal and OKAY.  We all know timing is everything (and things happen for a reason—-hehehehehe).

And we all have our own path; as we are all beautiful unique individuals.

Anyway….

The thing that impressed me the most about Taelor going with me to meditation is being introduced to concept and being able to go to the Chopra Center at the age of 17.  If this is something she keeps up; I wonder what positive changes she will bring to herself and others.  I can’t wait to be a witness in her journey.

The rest of the weekend was jammed pack.  I’m going to need a vacation from my vacation. HA!  Thank goodness for my portable paradise (meditation) or I might not have survived.  Lol

Did you know that?  That mediation can create time?

I hear all the time; “I don’t know have time to mediate”.  I get it! You’re probably thinking…to sit, close your eyes and be in stillness…woah!  No way!  You have WAY too many things to do.

What if I told you that mediation is the most productive thing you could do? Yes, I typed it…productive (not a spelling error).

Meditation is extremely productive , when we meditate, we are producing compassion, creativity, peace, insightfulness, and greater awareness.

I know it may sound too good to be true; but I look forward to sharing with you how real it is.

Let’s have a productive week and be mindful; of where we might have been able to fit in some stillness.  Even if it was just for a few moments.

I can’t wait to hear how many ideas you come up with.

See you in stillness,

Kimberly
